Description of PCD File Type:

Kodak's proprietary format for storing images on photo CDs. PCD is used for saving photographs scanned using Kodaks photo processing hardware. Photo CD images are typically scanned at a resolution of 3072x2048 pixels, but may be scanned at 6144x4096 using Kodak's Pro Photo CD service. Both formats use 24-bit color.
